Halloween

When I was little Halloween was a one day event.  We would dress up for school and trick or treat that night.  It seems that Halloween has turned into a month long celebration with pumpkin patches, corn mazes, trunk or treats, pumpkin carving, haunted houses, pumpkin walks, and this year we even had a glow in the dark eggstravaganza.  Glad the kids will be grown soon.  I don't know if I can handle too many more months like this!
Ben's costume was pretty sweet this year.  PPAP

Worth the Wait?

We waited in line for a long time to get these balloons.  Holly's is an eyeball hat, Q's is a monkey, and Alyssa's is a spider.  Why do kids love this kind of stuff so much?

"REAL ATHLETE"

Over the past 3 days Ben has been involved in a competition called "Real Athlete."  He and 5 other guys formed a team and competed in 7 different sports.  His team was in last place after the first 2 events, bowling and golf, but they brought it for basketball, volleyball, football, soccer and softball.  Their team ended up in the championship softball game to win the whole event, but came up short and ended up in 2nd place.  Ben, however, was chosen to the all state team (the best 6 athletes in the competition.)  He was also the oldest athlete competing.  He's a stud!  The young punks he schooled were amazed that he still plays at such a high level.  He was good at everything (except bowling LOL).  I was a very proud wife today.

One of the highlights was during flag football.  Ben rushed the QB, batted his pass, then caught the ball and returned it for a touchdown,  As he neared the end zone he turned around moonwalked the last 5 yards, then "mic dropped" the ball.  Very entertaining Ben!  He should be all over the highlight real.  He was shakin fools in basketball, his kills were sic in volleyball, and his home run was awesome!  Makes me wish I had been around during his "glory years."
