Another Sweet 16!

It was just the boys for Tiago's birthday this year.  He picked HuHot for his birthday dinner, and only wanted ice cream instead of a cake.  He played video games most of the day and had some fun at Fat Cats.  HaPpY bIrThDaY Tiago!

 

VIDCON

For her birthday, Alyssa wanted to go to VIDCON.  We had been looking forward to this trip for months.

We stayed at the Luxor in Vegas
on the way down.

Once in Cali, we hit up Newport Beach.
Alyssa introduced me to
the bonzai bowl and cronuts, yum!

Day 1 of Vidcon was all about
free stuff, making YouTube shorts
and the huge Mr. Beast gumball machine.

We won some fabulous prizes,
including a game boy!

A Dream Come True!

Today was the best, in the words of Alyssa, "the best day of my life!"  We got up early to make sure we would get to have a turn at the "human claw" Squishmallow pit.  We were first in line which was amazing!  Other people had to wait for 4 hours.

The day just got better from there!...

We timed things perfectly, so that we
would be in line at the gumball machine 
when Mr. Beast showed up.
We hoped Karl Jacobs would be there too!

The whole reason Alyssa wanted to go to 
VIDCON, was for the chance to meet Karl!
We didn't know for sure if he would even
be there, but we went anyways. 
 When he poked his head out of the 
gumball machine, Alyssa got so excited!

When she met Karl, Alyssa was
shaking, excited and nervous.   
We had about a 2 minute conversation
with him and he was so nice! 
This was a dream come true for Alyssa!

over and over to get free milk and cookies. 

Glamping!

Uncle Steve rented out Camp Oakley and invited us to come up.  We slept in a yurt.  It was very cool and a beautiful location, but we all woke up with a sore back, and got very little sleep.  Cot sleeping is no good.  Listening to the wind, rain and thunder all night was awesome though!  We had a good time, the kids all caught some fish in the stocked ponds.

Hoop Camp!

Another successful Hoop Camp in the books!  We have many more coming up this year.

Reyn had made a boutonniere for Ben for Father's Day. 
Because we were camping,
we didn’t make it to church and
Reyn was sad he didn't get to wear it.
When we got home,
he got all dressed up and put it on. 
It made her so happy, she cried,
which made Ben get a little teary too.
