Deep Sea Fishing

The one thing Q really wanted to do while we were in Mexico was go deep sea fishing.  We went out at sunrise from the Paradise Village Marina.  It was a beautiful morning.  Q only caught 2 little fish and one big fish.  He was disappointed, but we also saw whales.

The next day, Ben and Q went out again, this time from the little fishing village or Boca De Tomatlan.  They had a great time, and a little more success.

Merry Christmas from Mexico

Ben and my gift to each other this year was a pre-Christmas trip to Mexico.  Our friend Steve had offered us a free week in Paradise Village and Ben was already down there, so Q and I flew down for the week.  It was heavenly!

Our friend Adrian leant us his car
for the week.  It was a hoopty with no A/C

The Thanksgiving Flu

A week before Thanksgiving, Q came down with the flu. Fever, vomiting, cough, runny nose, aches, chills.  He was miserable.  On our drive up to Washington, he slept in the back of the car on a mattress.  Unfortunately, Ben and I both started to feel the symptoms and I spent Thanksgiving mostly in bed.  No turkey or mashed potatoes for me this year.  Luckily, Ben recovered pretty quickly.  On the way home, I slept in the back of the car on a mattress.

This was the only picture we got.

Halloween

This year, I wanted Q to have a fun Halloween with his friends.  I found some shirts that he and his friend's could wear,  I also provided pizza and drove the boys around to different neighborhoods for trick or treating.  They had a great time and Q was very grateful,

UNLV Hoop Camp

Drove down to Vegas for a Hoop Camp with the UNLV women's team.  On the way we stopped by to see Alyssa and enjoyed a truly delicious meal at the Pizza Cart in Cedar City.   That night, Steve Garrity gifted us 2 tickets to see Donny Osmond.  It was such a fun show.  The next 2 days we hung out with our special needs friends.  It's always a good time!

Not This Year

Reyn's volleyball team made it to the championship game of the High School Volleyball state tournament.  They had won the championship 2 years in a row and were going for a 3 peat, but it wasn't to be.  Not this year.  It was still an amazing season and 2nd in state isn't too shabby.  Way to go Reyn!

Fall Break Camping Trip

Q had been begging to go camping for weeks, so we planned a little camping trip in Moab over fall break.  When it was time to leave, we had a little problem.  Tito, had gone up into the attic and we couldn't find him.  We needed to get him down so he wouldn't be stuck in the house while we were gone.  We tried a few different things and finally, said a prayer, and within a few minutes he came out.  It delayed our trip a little, but was another testimony that God answers prayers.

Reyn caught a cute little guy.

Tent Camping...ugh
The first night was in the low 40s
the air mattresses kept deflating
but we brought a space heater and watched movies,
so that was fun!
