Q's Inflatables

During the summer, Qyntn started a little business.  He rents out inflatables.  He made just shy of $1,000 over the summer.  Not bad for a 12 year old.  Truth is, I did most of the work, but he always helped clean them when they were returned.  With the money he earned, he bought an FPV drone, that he has wanted for a long time.   I love that he has his own little business.  I also love that he chooses to pay his tithing, which he calls his heavenly tax.  

Instrument Rated

Alyssa is killing it, she got her instrument rating.  Next up, commercial!  Way to go Lyss!

Back to School

No more home school, Qyntn is back in public school.  He said his first day back was a lot of fun.  He got to hang out with friends he has made over the years in sports, and got called up to participate at one of the assemblies.  He loves being with his friends, but claims that he still hates school.  He has always hated school, even preschool.  At preschool, he would cling to my leg and cry when I would try to leave.  The teacher would have to come pry his kung fu grip from my leg and carry him into the class.    Even though he has hated school his whole life, I'm still hoping he will learn to love it, eventually!  I'm loving that he is starting to care about how he looks and smells.

Has it Really Been 30 Years?

In Washington, Ben enjoyed spending some time with his old high school buddies at his 30 year reunion.

Centralia Hoop Camp

We held another fun Hoop Camp in Centralia.  We're getting more and more participants every year, and the support we get from Ben's family is impressive.  Thanks everyone!

Chasing Waterfalls

We took an end of summer trip to Washington.  On the drive, we took a detour to some waterfalls.  Ben and I both love waterfalls.  Q wasn't thrilled.

Aging Gracefully

This handsome guy is 48!  He doesn't seem to age.  Although, if you look closely, you will see a few grays in that full head of hair.  We spent his birthday driving to Washington.
