Trying to be Brave

Ben took most of the kids to another UVU men's basketball game the other night.  When Willy came around Qyntn was shaking like a leaf, but apparently he was up for a photo with Green Man.  Look at the trepidation on his face in this shot, he's trying to be so brave.  Love this kid!

My Valentine

In the past Ben hasn't been a big fan of Valentine's day.  He had an arrangement with his ex-wife that they wouldn't celebrate this holiday which he tried to carry over into our relationship.  What????  H. E. double hockey sticks NO!  He's the love of my life, the man of my dreams, my valentine extraordinaire, I'M GONNA CELEBRATE that!  Much better to celebrate a day that promotes LOVE than a pagan holiday like Halloween.  Truth be told, I would love to get rid of Halloween.  Maybe we could go from house to house on Valentine's day, collecting chocolate and spreading love, I would be all for that!  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you have to go all out or anything, but come on, let's celebrate the love!!!

This came up out of his drain on
Valentine's Day morning

Who doesn't love a plate of valentine sugar cookies?

Took him out to a yummy BBQ place and
we bought fake wedding rings to replace
the ones we've lost.

Look at my handsome Valentine!
love you babe!

Super Bowl XLIX

TRAGIC!  BEWILDERING!  You had to watch it to truly understand.  Down 4 with 2 minutes left in the game, Seahawks fans were praying for a repeat of the NFC championship game, a victory they had pulled off in miracle fashion.  A beautiful reception for a gain of 31 to start the possession renewed and increased our hopes.  Anxiety set in as the next 2 plays contributed nothing.  Then there it was, Wilson let one fly and the most fortuitous bobbled reception ever put us within reach.  We could feel it, taste it, the Lombardi trophy would be ours.  "Beast Mode" advanced the ball to the one yard line and we knew that this man, who had carried us here in consecutive years, our superstar, would come through no doubt.  Nothing would stop him from scoring, we knew that if they just kept handing him the ball he would find a way to cross the plane of the goal line.  Well, if you don't know what happened, you should look it up and watch it....  Tragic, bewildering!  We sat there in stunned silence, sick.
