It's Autumntime

We finally drove the Alpine Loop.
The kids didn't love it, but I did.

We have extraordinary sunsets in Utah too.

Oceanside

While we enjoyed Mexico, Reyn and Tiago had fun in Oceanside!

Sand dollars, Crabs, Tacos, Churros and Lots of Piña Coladas

Tacos and quesadillas all week long
with a visit to the churro man of course.

A piña colada a day did not keep the doctor away.
Alyssa spent one day sick in the room.

The boys had fun spending hours looking for sand dollars and crabs

Boogie Boarding

I could boogie board all day in this water!
Perfect size waves and temperature,
and when I get out I'm not even cold.

Snorkeling and Rock Jumping

After our visit to Yelapa, we took the
opportunity to snorkel and jump off a big rock.

There were so many big, beautiful fish and the water
temperature was perfect!

Chico's Paradise

More natural beauty.  Ben especially loves this place!

One of the locals showed us a plant
that can create natural tatoos.

we ran into lots of stray dogs

Save the Turtles

One of the reasons we wanted to go back to PV in October was because baby sea turtles hatch around this time each year.  We went turtle hunting twice.  The first night we saw momma turtles, the second night we had the privilege of witnessing a nest hatching.  One after one the baby turtles poked their noses up through the sand, struggled to climb out and made their way towards the ocean.  A few got turned around so we helped them get going in the right direction.  We also visited a sea turtle camp where they educate the public, and protect and release baby turtles.

maybe 40 little baby sea turtles came out of the nest

This is what a nest looks like under the sand.
Momma's can lay up to 100 eggs at a time.

I asked Q to snap a picture of me with the turtles.

Dolphins

Swimming with the dolphins was one
of the highlights of our trip.  It was so cool!
Thanks to Randy and Tasha for purchasing the photos,
and to paradise village for the complimentary excursion.
