We've headed back up north for a couple tournaments over the past 2 months. Thank you to my dad and Laurel for hosting us in their home! Q is an all star on his volleyball team! They aren't very good, so it's frustrating for him, but he is doing great! They are lucky to have him!
Basketball has been great for Q! He instantly got 5 new friends and they are a good group of kids. Before the tournament, his team had only practiced 3 times together and never played a game together. The first team they played was the Utah Prospects, the best team in Utah, for their age group. I was really impressed with the team. They played well together and matched the intensity of the prospects. They didn't win, but they competed. The high school varsity coach was at the game and basically told the boys that he is excited to work with them and grow them into his team. They could be a special team!
While we were there, Q wanted to spend some time with his Saratoga friends. When we found out that they were going to the temple on the morning we were driving up, we decided to drive up the night before and surprise them at the temple. It was awesome to walk in and see them all sitting there. The day after the tournament we invited the boys to go to Airborne. I was happy that so many could go with us.
