Fall Break (Day 4)

We left Kanab and headed to Escalante to Peekaboo and Spooky slot canyons, some of the coolest and narrowest slots I've been in.  There was a bit of water in Peekaboo from the rain the week before which made things a little more challenging, but it was definitely a fun adventure.

The entrance to Peekaboo was a bit difficult..

but it was beautiful inside!

these 2 were so cute together

Spooky was even more narrow

At one point it was so narrow,
Ben was able to lift his feet off the ground.

Fall Break (Day 3)

Day 3 started with "The Wave" lottery.  It was intense, but we didn't win.

It was a day for the record books.  We hiked the longest and deepest slot canyon in the world, Buckskin Gulch.  We didn't do our research though and started at the wrong trailhead.  It added about 6 miles to the hike.  None of us were happy!  In all we hiked about 11 miles.  The gulch really was majestic though, worth it!

After our half marathon hike, we headed to one of the largest canyons in the world, the Grand Canyon, to watch the sunset.  We hiked out to Angel Point for the amazing view.  At one point on the narrow path there were sheer cliffs on both sides, it made my heart skip a beat and I got a little dizzy.  The canyon is breathtaking!  I think the kids were even impressed.

We walked and walked and walked...

And finally made it to the gulch.

It was majestic!

Fall Break (Day 2)

Day 2 we headed down south.  Alyssa and Holly chose not to come so it was just 5 of us.  We stopped  by The Creamery in Beaver and got some squeaky cheese, super yummy chocolate milk and root beer float milk, and of course we splurged on some scoops of delicious ice cream.  That was our lunch.

Our next stop was Bryce Canyon.  We hiked the Navajo loop, through Wall Street, to the two bridges, around the Queen's Garden and back along the rim trail.  It was stunning!

The last stop on our way to Kanab was "The Belly of the Dragon," where we took some cool photos and carved our names in the walls.

Fall Break (Day 1)

GIRL'S THRIFT NIGHT!  The girls wanted to hit up several thrift shops in SLC, so we made it a night and found some treasures.  As we were driving around, Holly saw an espresso sign on the side of the road.  I stopped at a red light and she jumped out of the car, ran and grabbed the sign, and made it back just as the light turned green.  We didn't get it on video, so we decided to recreate a new version at the dumpster.  We laughed a lot, we had some fun and ended the night with a photoshoot.

Our Baby is Nine!

Qyntn is growing up too fast!  He has been the sweetest most loviest little guy, I hope he never changes!  Happy birthday Qyntn, love you so much!  Today he got to skip school, went to a movie with his dad, played games at FatCats, got some of his favorite treats, robux and some fun gifts.  A few days later he had a late night with 2 of his best friends, Max and Caden.  They went to Labrynth and Airborne, it was a blast!

We have to get creative with birthday cakes around here.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
he eats them 2 at a time!

He got 1000 tickets on his first roll!
