"Tonight, Tonight"

Recognize any of these people?...

you probably only recognize Nick, myself, and Marcus...but the other guys comprise the pop band Hot Chelle Ray, they sing the popular song "Tonight, Tonight".  Went Flow riding for my first time with these guys.  I got some serious whiplash every time I bit it, but it was a good time.  

It Finally Happened...

Qyntn slept through the night!  It's been a long 9 months, but he finally did it...hopefully it continues!

Road Trip

Since Alyssa and Holly we're off in Cancún with their dad for the week, and Ayzha, Tiago, and Reyn were with thier mom, Ben, Q and I decided to take a quick road trip to St. George.  It was a fun little getaway...long overdue!  We did some hiking, hit a bucket of balls, slept, watched a movie, hung out with my sister Angie and her family, checked out some of the local hot spots, (Swig, and The Sugar Cookie) and swam a bit.  Low Key and relaxing...yay!

Shock and Awe!

Two nights ago Alyssa told me that she wanted to buy herself a set of scriptures.  She has the scriptures on her Kindle, and a tiny Book of Mormon, but she said that wasn't good enough.  I told her I would get her a quad when she gets baptized next year, but she insisted that she couldn't wait.  We looked online to see how much they cost and when she saw that they were 70 dollars she didn't bat an eye.  She looked at me and said, "I think I have 71 dollars, so I can get them, right?"  I was shocked.  My sweet little Alyssa was willing to give all her money to buy scriptures.  Then Holly joined in.  She said, "Mom, I want to set a new goal.  I want to read the Book of Mormon all by myself in one year." Alyssa agreed that was a good idea.  Seriously???  Where was all this coming from?  Are we doing something right around here???  I finally came to an agreement with Alyssa about waiting until her baptism to get a quad.  So, the next day I went to the distribution center and bought them each a Book of Mormon and made them bookmarks with a reading chart on it.  They plan to read a chapter a day.  I'm a little shocked, and definitely in awe of my sweet girls.  Hope they follow through, I'll be cheering them on all the way! 

Ayzha is 11!

Dang!  Awesome Ayzha turned 11and this was the only picture I got.  Even though she's not smiling or looking at the camera she's still gorgeous.  I think she looks a lot like her handsome dad.  Anyways, this past year Ayzha has been busy playing soccer, volleyball, being a great student, learning to play the piano, and hanging out with all of her friends.  She's growing up fast and is actually really fun to talk to and hang out with.  For her birthday we took her to dinner at Texas Roadhouse again, and gave her lots of presents.  Happy Birthday Ayzha!

Completely Wrapped Around His Little Finger...

Look at Qyntn's sweet face...it's no wonder he's got me wrapped around his little finger.  He's a fun, sweet, happy baby who needs to learn to sleep better.  He can feed himself, crawl, pull himself up to standing, but rarely takes a decent nap, and still wakes up every 3-4 hours at night....but I wouldn't trade him for the world.
