Back to School!

Alyssa doesn't know it yet,
but she going to get a surprise at school today.

Have a wonderful day, Lyss!

Q hates school.

But he thinks riding his bike to school is fun.

and he is excited about free school breakfast!

Holly decided to give in person school another try.
She kept it a secret from Alyssa and surprised her at school.
I hope she has the best year ever!

Washington

Ben took most of the family to Washington for an end of summer trip.  I stayed home to drive Alyssa back and forth to her two a day volleyball practices.  It looks like they had a wonderful time!

The beach was warmer than usual.
The sun was even out!

They spent lots of time outdoors,
Hooray!

Brothers, so cute!

Q mastered riding the BiG kid motorcycle.

Holly loved riding the quads
but got stuck in the mud.
They got pretty muddy getting it out.

The blackberries were ripe.
We eat them straight from the bush.

44!

This handsome young man turned 44!

Underwear!!!!

I love his face

We spent the evening at Evermore,
completing quests...

trading trinkets

Messing around

I'm pretty sure the highlight
of his birthday was this moment!
3 for 3 axe throwing with a bullseye.
Okay...maybe not.  But it was worth a mention.

Gorgeous Montana

Ben and some of the kids went camping in Libby.  They met up with the other Fuller’s to help clean up the property.  It sounds like it was a lot more fun than work.

Stunning!

Crazy cliff jumpers

Q loved putting together rockets
and launching them off

They were hoping to find a nugget or two.

No showers, just a lake

A trip to Libby always includes
a day at Silverwood.

Look at those faces
Nope...didn't buy the picture

Ben overdid it at the buffet

Diligent and Consistent

We finished reading the Book of Mormon
for our fourth time as a family.

Even before my children came to earth I had decided that I would be diligent and consistent in reading the Book of Mormon with them daily.  For 15 years we have rarely missed a day. It has not been easy and sometimes I have wondered if we are getting any benefit from our efforts, but we continue to persevere in faith, believing in the promised blessings.  President Ezra Taft Benson once said: "There is a power in the book which will begin to flow into your lives the moment you begin a serious study of the book. You will find greater power to resist temptation. You will find the power to avoid deception. You will find the power to stay on the strait and narrow path."  My children need these blessings.  Each of us do.  So, even when the kids complain, we will continue to read and discuss the teachings of the Book of Mormon daily.

DIY Projects

Ben installed a backsplash in our kitchen.  I love it, he is amazing!  It's the first of maybe several projects that will add a little class and value to our home.

Last piece!
Only cost about $100.
