COVID-19

The world is in quarantine!  Globally we are fighting an invisible killer, CLOVID-19.  It's called the Coronavirus, because the virus is spiky like a crown.  The outbreak began in China and has now become a global pandemic.  To slow the spread of this deadly illness we have been asked to stay home, to social distance, to weartwear masks, work from home.  Schools are closed, the gym is closed, church has been cancelled for now, restaurants are offering take-out meals only.  The stock market has done a nosedive.  People are being laid off, businesses are closing.

And yet, I feel totally calm.  As members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we have been told since I was a child to be prepared.  Pay your tithing, stay out of debt, save for a rainy day, have a year of food storage.  I am so thankful for prophets who lead, guide and protect us.  I saw this post the other day and feel more strongly than ever that we have a prophet on the earth...

About a year ago the church implemented a home centered, church supported church.   We have been participating in that for a year now so this transition has been seemless for us.

Ministering is also inspired.  It is an organized program that makes it possible to check on our neighbors to make sure they are okay in a matter of minutes.  We can share food and resources and care for each other.

My testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has definitely been strengthened because of this "crisis."
